earlier this week darah and i ventured out of the city to help celebrate our good friend angela's birthday along with her husband todd and friends dom and eric...we photographed angela and todd's wedding last year and since then have become very good friends...angela is actually a fab wedding planner, check out her site at www.angelamalickievents.com. we took some fun portraits of angela, todd and of course titus...isn't this the cutest family ever?! thanks guys for an awesome dinner, drinks and many laughs...happy birthday girlfriend!!!! xoxoxoxox

sunday was our first ever dollface brunch! we held it at my loft in the city and it was girls only (except for the dj and my dog mick!) we've been planning this brunch for a while, we wanted to do something really special as a thank you for our clients, both past and future. we had lots of amazing food, music, sweets, favors, door prizes and cocktails including our signature dollface martini! we had a lot of help organizing and pulling off this event and i'm going to list all the vendors that were a huge part of it in an upcoming blog. for now i just wanted to get some pics up before i left for the day. thanks to all the girls that came out! we can't wait to start planning for the next one! xoxoxo

we always say it, we have the best clients (friends) ever...hands down..when darah and i met up with pete and dawn at bar ferdinand for thier engagement shoot they had a gift bag with them for us...bubbly! we love champagne...a lot! we enjoyed it last week when we took it to melagrano, an amazing byob in center city.we managed to take a photo with darah's cell phone before popping it!..thanks again guys! very sweet!

so yesterday in the mail, we received an invitation for one of our favorite couples, katie and tim. it means so much to us that they actually sent us a wedding invitation in the mail, as if we are actual guests. the invites are sooo cute, pink and black and everyone knows how much we love pink! this post is to give katie and tim (our hot and steamy couple from the beach shoot) a big shout out and thank you for inviting us to your wedding...officially! can't wait for the big day and to be able to photograph you two again:)

and we are off...to shoot a couple more weddings this weekend and then to kennebunkport, maine!!! we are very excited and we wanted to let everyone know that we will be out of the studio until monday may 19th (which is my birthday!). we will have limited access to internet, so if we don't get back right away, don't worry, we'll be in touch soon. have a great week and keep an eye out for some new amazing images...and i do mean amazing!

yeah...it's finally spring (i think...you never know anymore)! spring may bring lots of flowers and sunshine, but it in the world of wedding photography, it brings lots of engagement shoots too! i can totally understand why, I mean everyone's been held up in their homes all winter and now its so beautiful out that all our happy couples want to get their pictures taken! we love doing engagement sessions because it really gives us an opportunity to bond with our clients. we are able to see how comfortable they are in front of the camera and also for all the men out there...it is especially good, because they are the ones that really need the practice, most times that is! the question that we get asked the most is, "what should we wear?" our response to that is...be you! there is nothing wrong with going casual, or if you want to dress up a little, that's fun too. the only suggestion we make is not to wear something that is so patterned or distracting that it would take away from you in your pictures. again, that doesn't mean you can't wear anything with a pattern, but if it screams "look at me!" then i would just think about it a little more. so, i am going to post pics from our past e shoots so you can get an idea of what i am talking about.

nina loves pink and looks so good in it and brett complimented her well by wearing white
seyi and wole both wore patterns, but it works because their browns tie together in both shirts. doesn't wole look hot with his hat...that is a great touch!
